I decided to replace my dog-eared spiral notebook with an A6 binder, and after looking at way too many options, this seemed to be the best deal for me. The price is great, it’s a plain black color, and it could be delivered the next day. Now that I’m using it…It’s really a great little binder. I like the snap closure, and the fake leather is thick and seems to be of good quality. I don’t think I’ll have a lot of use for the interior pockets, but they’re flat, so they don’t get in my way, and who knows? Maybe I’ll end up using them after all. The rings are strong, the tabs at each end of the rings make it easy to open and close, and they hold a lot of dividers and paper. Overall, it’s a great little notebook that looks like it’s much more expensive than I paid for it.So why the 4 stars? Honestly, I just don’t like the finish. Instead of being a smooth (fake) leather, it’s more brushed and suede-like. And if you’re familiar with that finish, you know it quickly shows marks, spots, and even fingerprints. For an otherwise great quality notebook, that one bad detail is really disappointing. I mean, notebooks are usually carried around, shoved in a bag, and not necessarily handled with kid gloves, right? In the short time I’ve been using it, it’s already losing its initial perfect finish, and I know it’s only a matter of time before it looks like it’s taken a beating.
