This is an exceptional lathering bowl, and one that could easily be put in a suitcase or simply used at home. Lathering in cup/mug just doesn’t work. Lathering in a bowl that lacks ridges is ineffective. One of the best features of this bowl are the ridges on the bottom, that help to make whipping up a lather easier, and the more the better. Also you have a place to rest your brush while shaving, in between passes. The size is ideal. It’s not too big for travel, yet big enough to get a lather going. It’s just the right size to get your hand around it for a good, firm grip while lathering. It is made of hard plastic, so if it falls from your sink area, it won’t shatter, like ceramic shaving bowls. Whoever designed this took a lot of factors into consideration and the result is a shaving bowl with all the best features. The only thing left for them to do is offer it in a variety of colors, though I do like dark green.
