I threw away my electric razor four years ago, in favor of a razor with multi-blade cartridges, and recently stepped up to a double-edge safety razor. Wanted to graduate to proper shaving soap at the same time and get rid of the canned shaving cream. Glad I made the change! And this bowl really works. It whips up thick, slick foam quickly and easily, and it’s BIG (quite a bit bigger across than a shaving mug – just over 5″ across). It’s actually easy to make too much foam. Because it’s ceramic and not plastic, it stays hot much longer.
