This item is great. It heats up fast and worked better than expected. I needed 6” styrofoam ball halves for a project and it was much cheaper to buy the balls and this foam knife and cut them myself than to buy the halves. And now I can make halves any time I need them! It took me a little practice to get the cut perfect because the knife cuts so well, it was faster than I originally expected so I wasn’t prepared for it to go through the styrofoam so easily. The only recommendation would be to add an indicator light to show when it is at temp or still hot. I was nervous to touch it after I unplugged it because I wasn’t sure how long it took to cool off.
